DENMARK: Grundfos has extended its line of intelligent, energy-efficient pump motors for use in building services, industry, and water supply applications.
The improved MGE motors with integrated frequency converters are the company’s most energy efficient yet, and extend the previous range up to 11 kW.
Designed especially for frequency converter operations and optimized for pump applications and high part-load efficiency, MGE motors offer lower energy and lifecycle costs as well as efficiencies that exceed the IE4 standards set by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
Preben Poulsen, Grundfos’ Senior Manager of Global Programs for Motors & Drives, says: “Our customers are always looking for ways to increase energy efficiency without losing out on performance. In addition to increased energy savings, MGE motors offer dedicated functionality for different pump applications. As an integrated solution, MGE products are compact and designed to replace existing system components.
The upgrades to the MGE product line are part of Grundfos iSOLUTIONS, which builds on the optimal combination of pumps, drives and auxiliary components for specific applications, incorporating special features and functions based on application knowledge and experience. Grundfos iSOLUTIONS comprise easy integration of pump, drive, measurement, control, protection and communication- saving the customer valuable engineering, installation and commissioning time.
