The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has said that its project to bring treated water to the Aravalli Biodiversity Park is on track and the recycled water will begin reaching the park by April end this year. Jal Jeevan Mission: Ensuring Tap Water For 15 Crore Rural Families

As of February 2025, the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) has provided tap water connections to 79.74% of rural households in India (15.44 crore households), up from just 17% coverage when launched in August 2019. Eleven states/UTs have achieved 100% coverage, including Goa, Haryana, Gujarat, and Punjab among others. The Greater Noida authority has expanded Ganga water supply to 52 of 58 sectors, with six sectors still awaiting connection: Eta 2, Techzone (Mursafabad), Xu 3, Sector 2, Sector 4, and Sector 16C. The supply has also reached 67 of 122 villages under its jurisdiction. Currently, the authority is supplying 374MLD against a demand of 339MLD, with 100MLD coming from Ganga water mixed with groundwater.
