Varanasi Gets Advanced Sewage Treatment Plant, Only Treated Water Will Now Fall into Ganga

With the aim to conserve and rejuvenate the river Ganga, Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Uttar Pradesh on Monday inaugurated a new state-of-the-art sewage treatment plant of 10 MLD capacity in Varanasi. Delhi Jal Board to provide household water connection to all consumers in UT

Water Minister Satyendra Jain and Delhi Jal Board have decided that it would provide household water connection to all the consumers that including laying water pipelines and installation of meters at consumers’ premises. The water minister also approved the project of installing a 20 MGD (Million Gallons per Day) RO plant at Okhla, as per the statement.
