In a recent move, the Delhi Pollution Control Committee had checked for water samples collected, in proximity to landfill sites, in Delhi. As per the samples collected, the water was highly contaminated. The Committee was of the view that the primary source of pollution, of groundwater, emanated from the unsegregated waste that was dumped at these landfill sites.
